Childcare, Preschool, Before and After School & More

LaFontaine Learning Community is a brand new childcare ministry, serving infants through age 12.

Quality Care

We strongly believe every child should feel undeniably loved every day of their life. We also believe parents deserve peace of mind that their child is receiving the best care possible.

Intentional Education

We believe caregivers should be intentional in helping a child develop physically, mentally, and emotionally at every age. Our classrooms will be structured to help children grow in all these areas.

Faith Focused

As a Christian childcare, we believe nurturing spiritual development is essential. We will teach character building and spiritual formation through a Biblical perspective.

Why Choose LLC?

You have options for your childcare, so why should you choose LLC? This program was developed by a team of early childhood educators, parents, and business experts, who are all extremely passionate about providing high quality childcare. We see so many possible benefits for our community through a program like this, and we feel called to do this well.

Parent/Guardian communication is one of our highest values. We want you to be an active, connected part of your child’s care.

We also realize every family’s childcare needs look different. We value accommodating unique family needs, to the best of our ability.

Lastly, we believe it’s exciting to be a part of something new from the very beginning. Please join us on this new adventure!

Hours of Operation

Bus Drop Stop

School bus pick-up and drop-off location for Southwood Elementary students

Preschool education is included each day for 3 to 5-year-olds. If you’re looking for preschool services only, your child can attend for the half day charge. Preschool will be offered from 8:00-11:00am, and you can choose how many/which days your child attends.

One of the first questions when choosing childcare is “How much will this cost?”. We are passionate about creating a cost-efficient care plan for your family. Once you register, our staff will work directly with you to determine the exact costs for your family. Cost comes down to the ages of your children + how many days per week they need care + amount of time each day care is needed.

You’re thinking, “That sounds great, but seriously, what’s this going to cost?” To give you an idea, below are the daily rates per age group. (For example, if your four-year-old needs care 3 full days per week, your cost each week will be $78/week.) This should help you begin estimating the cost for your family, but please contact us to discuss your family’s specific needs.

LaFontaine Learning Community admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  It doesn’t discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Can the days of the week vary for when my child attends?

At the time of enrollment you will establish which days of the week your child will attend. We will need to keep these days consistent through the entire school year. This will help ensure adequate staffing is available to care well for your child.

Is lunch provided?

Initially, we will ask that lunch be brought from home for all children. Once the program has been firmly established we have every intention to build in a food program, which would offer the option of purchasing lunch from the school. Snacks will be provided at no additional cost.

Is financial assistance available?

LaFontaine Learning Community is an eligible childcare provider for the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF). This is a federal program that helps low-income families obtain child care. Families must apply and be accepted for CCDF. Tuition will be discounted at the amount covered by CCDF and the remaining balance will be the responsbility of the family to pay.

Learn more about CCDF here.

What if I need an additional day of care?

Say your kiddo typically comes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday… but you desperately need someone to watch them on a Friday. Have no fear! For an additional charge, and with enough advance notice, we will try to accommodate.

Can I view the school?

Yes! We would love to schedule a private tour for you. We’re available most week days between 8:00am – 5:00pm. Contact Us to arrange a viewing.

SUPPORT & Donations

As a non-profit ministry, LaFontaine Learning Community welcomes donations from our supporters. Whether through monetary giving, providing physical needs, or volunteering time, every gift allows us to keep providing quality care to our community’s children and families.
